Yesterday

I took a break yesterday from some of my "normal" activities while the little man was either in his high chair or sleeping. As some of you already know, I am planning a bridal shower for one of my best friends. And yesterday, I made the invites.

I had wanted to make the invitations completely different, but my plan A did not pan out. So this was my plan B. Good old Japanese tape. Plan A would have been WAY cuter, not to mention more original, but I am happy with plan B as well.
Then I made these. I was inspired by the popular DIY tutorial on pricking both ends of the egg and then blowing on one end till all contents of the egg are out, then paint and you are good to go! I wanted to make these to keep for each easter as "decoration". I'm not a big holiday decorations person, but I think I could handle these nestled in a little nest of sorts. And as we have additions to the family, I can make new eggs. I also made this one.
A tad random, but I like it.

What easter "crafts" have you created?

I haven't created anything lately, life has just gotten in the way ;-) But what a perfect post. I love DIY ideas. Happy Easter Dear! I hope your weekend is fabulous.

Love those eggs!! I remember going to a shop in Salzburg where they had trees of these blown out eggs with painted scenes. Such a lovely tradition.
